Luma is an event platform that helps people host and find delightful events. We support incredible hosts like Alo Yoga, Substack, book clubs, and art galleries.
We started in 2020 to help a friend sell tickets to online Zoom yoga after she was laid off due to COVID. Since then our focus has shifted to in-person events and we are processing millions in transactions and supporting tens of thousands of event hosts.
While our product has expanded and grown, our team has remained small. We have a small team of engineers and designers based in NYC + remote. Everyone on the team cares tremendously about their craft.
You’ll be responsible for growing and supporting Luma in the city you live in. This role is a hybrid of a sales and community position.
You’ll spend the majority of your time reaching out and talking to event hosts — both hosts that are already using Luma and hosts that aren’t familiar with Luma.
The job will consist of:
You should be enjoy talking and bonding with new people and be comfortable reaching out to people over email, over the phone, and in person.
This is a great role for someone who has hosted events (anything from a large birthday party to a ticketed event) and enjoys going to events and meeting new people.
You should be organized and able to communicate clearly, both in writing and in person.
Compensation — $20-30/hour, with raises and bonuses based on performance
Location — Remote. You’ll be based in the city you are applying for. We are expanding to many different cities including, but not limited to, Austin, Los Angeles, Chicago, Mexico City, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Berlin, and Madrid.
Commitment — We are open to someone who can work 20-50 hours per week for this role.
